A rare and sculptural table by Swedish designer Axel Einar Hjorth, designed in the early 1930s for Nordiska Kompaniet. Part of the Sportstugemöbler series, these pieces were created for Swedish summer houses and combine rustic materials with a modernist language.

Crafted in solid pine, the table features a thick plank top and a strong base. The construction reflects traditional joinery while maintaining a strikingly minimal and primitive expression.

This example is in very good vintage condition, showing a rich patina and light wear consistent with age.
